If you don't want to interview the people who have the answer, I don't see much value in asking anyone else.

You could look up the price per light ton of ships that have recently sold to breakers. Figure the buyer makes a small profit and you might be in the same hemisphere, not close but you might have a figure to use since you don't really want to know badly enough to ask the people who are actually in the business.

Speaking of hemispheres, if it is in the western one you can figure it costs more to break the ship than the ship cost which is why most ships are broken up in the other one.
