Codecasa launches 51-meter "Aldabra" superyacht
Hull number 116 was recently launched (September 24) from the facilities at Codecasa. She is a 51 meter Italian superyacht christened as "Aldabra". 9.50 meters is her overall beam with a maximum draught in the region of 3.50 meters. The hull is built in steel while the superstructure is in aluminum.
The 565-tonne yacht is powered by a pair of Caterpillar 3516B (2447 Hp @ 1.600 RPM) engines. Top speed is expected to be 17.5 knots in light displacement conditions with the engine package stated above. The range on
Aldabra travelling at 13-knots is 4,000 nautical miles, trans-Atlantic distance.
Accommodation is in five guest cabins and the owner's suite which round out the sleeping berths for twelve guests. For the crew there is a Captain's cabin, Chief Engineer's cabin and three crew cabins with twin bunks. Sea trials are expected to start soon..
