Heesen sells 47-meter Project 'California' superyacht
A brand new Heesen 47-meter superyacht was recently sold by Fraser Yachts. The yacht is currently under construction and in the final fitting out stage and will be completed in a few months. She is known as hull YN 16347 or Project 'California'.
Frank Laupman of Omega Architects has designed her exterior lines while Bannenberg and Rowell worked on the interior. In fact the interior will come to fruition under a 1940s and 50s California era theme. The elegance of a classic Hollywood interior is further emphasized by use of materials such as
bleached wenge on the floorboards,
white elm for panelling.
Marbles and refined
steel help round out some of the details.
A few technical details suggest Project
California has dual MTU 8V 4000 M63 diesels allowing for a 4,000 nautical mile range at 12-knots. Project
California is expected to be completed in July, 2012. She has been built Lloyds class and is MCA compliant.
