Update on hull 2 of the Codecasa 42M Vintage
At the start of this year (2012)
YF informed you about the progress of the second hull in the Codecasa Vintage series. Then, we suggested that launching of the new vessel was expected in 2012. However, news is that the launch date seems to have been pushed back. Currently, the revised launch period is Spring 2013.
For a quick revision of some important features, Codecasa states she will carry ten guests. They are to be slept in a Master, two doubles and a twin. Seven crew members will sleep in three twin and one captain's cabin. Technically speaking the second hull is expected to run on dual CAT engines, 3512B's to be precise.
Top speed is anticipated to be 17-knots. A 4,000 nautical mile range at 11-knots can be extracted from her 60,000 LT capacity fuel oil tanks. She is being built in steel and aluminum and is MCA compliant as well as classed under Lloyds Register.
