Horizon Yachts launch Premier 130 "Antithesis"
The Horizon Group started out the new year with the launch of its fifth Premier 130, “Antithesis”. Even given the current economic climate, the “Antithesis” production process went smoothly and completed on schedule. Her new US owner and family were very happy to receive their New Year’s gift.
Under the supervision of Captain Fergy, project manager for the past 2 years, the “Antithesis” was launched at the Horizon Delivery center during the early morning of Dec 19. The launch took approximately 3 hours to complete, using Horizon’s special design hydraulic lifting barge “On Dream”.
The vessel, equipped with twin MTU 8V4000M70 heavy-duty engines capable of 1,500 BHP each, is built for extreme long range cruising at a comfortable 14 knots of maximum speed. Full DNV +1A1 LC R1 Yacht certificate and MCA LY2 compliance remain standard.
The “Antithesis” was outfitted with custom marble, hardware and fabric selection, along with a number of personal artifacts, which were shipped and installed per the owner’s specific requirements. The vessel is scheduled to complete all tests and trials in time for delivery to Florida, USA by the end of May. This newly designed tri-deck Premier 130 will be showcased at the 2010 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show.
