Battery switch with monitor

I ran across this nifty component at IBEX and thought I would share it with you guys...

CELLTEC, manufacturer of computerized marine battery monitoring systems, has just introduced its high-tech CELLSTAT SW1 Marine Battery Switch that monitors battery and alternator performance—and even warns of failure before it happens.

Containing a microprocessor using a patented System-on-Chip technology, the SW1 performs a load test on the battery at every engine start and monitors alternator output and the level of battery charge. Bright, multi-colored LEDs on the monitor's face display the test results. A Master Warning Indicator with light and audible alarm is included for remote mounting at the helm or other location.

The CELLSTAT SW1 is constructed of UV-resistant nylon and can be easily surface-mounted in or near the battery compartment. The monitor's modest power consumption in standby creates an insignificant battery draw. CELLTEC also offers Battery Monitoring Devices for installations with multiple batteries.

MSRP of the CELLSTAT SW1 monitoring system is $89. Contact CELLTEC, L.L.C., P. O. Box 69, Shalimar, FL 32579; Phone: Toll Free 866-247-6943; Fax: 850-862-2330; www.celltec.biz
