Soraya 47-meter mega yacht
The Soraya 46.7-meter mega yacht is expected to be launched by Spring 2011. She is being built by Turkish yacht builders Soraya Yachts. An overall beam of 9.10-meters creates a spacious atmosphere for a sub-50-meter platform. Minimum draft of the 46.70-meter yacht is in the region of 2.50-meters.
She features a steel hull and aluminum superstructure with a hull design by Meccano Engineering Srl. The exterior design and styling comes by way of UNIELLe Yacht Design-Jure Bukavec and on the interior, Ales Bratina formulated an intricate design comprising of browns as the pallete base.
The displacement yacht uses a pair of CAT C32 ACERT engines to run her to a top speed of 16 knots with approximately 66,726 LT of fuel available. The range is expected to be 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots cruising speed. Accommodation is spread through the main to the lower deck.
The full-beam Owner’s Suite has a king-sized bed facing aft toward a flat screen plasma television on the bulkhead. The suite is fitted with a large walk-in wardrobe and a palatial ensuite bathroom. Outboard to port and starboard are huge vista windows tinted for privacy. An L-shaped sofa with a coffee table to starboard and a large vanity desk to port complete the layout.
From the foyer, on the main deck, the central stairs give access to two large and generous VIP Cabins to port and starboard featuring queen-sized beds, comfortable settees and huge ensuite bathrooms. Further aft are two guest cabins with twin beds plus an extra Pullman berth in each (which bring total guest accommodations to twelve) and ensuite head with shower.
Special features on the Soraya 46-meter include a heli pad located on the bow, clever storage in the forward superstructure area for a rescue tender, taking advantage of LED lighting technology throughout the yacht and Zero Speed stabilizers are some of the special features.
