VegaYachts project V851 super yacht
Vega Yachts currently are working on completing a very interesting project this year. She is an 83.80-meter high-volume super yacht with appealing exterior styling by Richard Hein. The interior is being done by Stefa Hart of Hembleton Decorating Limited. She is being built in all steel at the Vega yard in Shimizu, Japan.
V851 boast an extraordinary 15-meter overall beam, that's nearly 50-feet wide! This is destined to give her extra large exterior decks and interior spaces. Accommodation is being provided for twelve guests and eighteen crew members. She is being classed Lloyd's Register MCA-LY2.
The yacht displaces 3,614 tonnes and is expected to be powered by a Diesel and Electric package capable of running her to a top speed over 15 knots. At cruising speed (14 knots), Vega suggests she will have a range of 6,000 nautical miles. Her draught is just over 5.50-meters. The Vega V851 is in the outfitting stages of construction and is expected to be launched in 2011.
