Lurssen delivers 60-meter "Solemates"
Back in early August, German yacht manufacturer Lurssen finished a 60-meter displacement yacht christened "Solemates". She was previously know as Project "Katie Sue II" when under construction and has hull number 13661. Solemates
features an exterior design penned by Espen Oeino and an interior by Glade Johnson.
She is powered by twin CAT 1951 HP engines capable of pushing her to a top speed near 16 knots. Her finished steel hull and aluminum superstructure and other components combine to a tonnage of just under 1200. Solemates
is classed Lloyds Register and also satisfies MCA regulations. She should have a range similar to that of one of her sister's, "Arkely" of over 7,000 nautical miles at slower speeds.
