Ken Freivokh 88-meter 'Blade'
Turkey based Dunya Yachts and UK based designer Ken Freivokh have collaborated to produce the refinement of an 88-meter design known as the 'Blade' Project. The essence and purpose of the project is to redefine and raise the design 'bar' when it concerned yachts of this size. The ability to connect with the sea at most levels was paramount in the design. The design features a plumb-bow.
The exterior design is plastered in windows and glass facade paying respect to the connection-to-the-sea theme. According to Dunya Yachts, "
Blade shows, how both engineering and design can be so harmonious." Blade features a large pool on its main aft deck and large jacuzzi on the forward Sun Deck. On the bow, there is a large helipad for the alternate air-entry or exit to the yacht.
As the vessel is a concept, realistic details are not readily available as yet. However,
Blade is likely to be powered by Twin CATs producing a top speed of just under 20 knots. As details come to hand they will be released.
