Nobiskrug 74-meter "Mogambo" superyacht
Hull number 782 at German yard Nobiskrug has finally beeen delivered. The near 74-meter long superyacht was launched back in October 2011 just ahead of her sister ship, "Graffiti". Reymond Langton has been responsible for "Mogambo's" (hull 782) design.
Being based on similar hull to previous Nobiskrug sisters like "Sapphire" and "Siren", the Mogambo likely has accommodation twelve guests in a master stateroom and five double cabins. Her gray on white paint scheme especially with the gray splash on the superstructure adds further visual interest. Top speed on Mogambo is above 15-knots and she left the yard enroute to Kristansand, Norway. The next yacht to be soon delivered will be hull 783, Graffiti...
Imaginocean Yacht Design and C.Way collaborate on 47M megayacht design
Even at the larger end of the spectrum, owners are looking for improved efficiency. So the designers created a longer, lower platform that still remains under the 500GT limit. The longer waterline length allows for higher displacement speeds, with lower fuel consumption; whilst reducing the height improves stability. The motion is more comfortable, with less reliance on active stabilization and the yacht is simply more pleasant to be aboard.
The result is a dramatic looking yacht where indoor/outdoor living is the driving force behind the design. There are a variety of spaces that open up to give a connection to the sea that is often missing in larger yachts...
New design for Dashew FPB97' cruising yacht unveiled
Dashew Offshore is well known for their exploits in offshore cruising yachts. Their latest offering is a 97-foot model that was born out of a need for a yacht that was economical to run and that was on the threshold of being large enough for a couple to operate.
Thus the FPB97 was born and with eye-watering statistics packed into the design, she is sure to be worth the purchase. Remember these are offshore, 'heavy weather' cruising yachts offering long range for their size and robust structures of construction.
The range on the new FPB97 has been projected at 5,000 nautical miles at 11.5-knots. She will also have the capability to right herself if capsized. The 97-foot yacht will feature a lower carbon footprint than usual especially at anchor being independent of fossil fuel use while there...
Vicem Yachts launch 107' Vintage motor yacht
Vicem Yachts based in Turkey recently launched the new Vintage 107 model. She is the first in that model as the Vintage previously maxed out at 92-feet. She comes in a striking sky-blue-type colour on the hull and white on the superstructure.
On the techical side, the Vicem 107' Vintage runs on a pair of 1550 horse power CAT C32 engines. These permit her to attain a cruising speed of 17-knots while a maximum of 21-knots is expected.
The interior on the standard layout boasts five cabins for ten guests. Large king-size beds exist in the full-beam master cabin as well as in the VIP stateroom. Additionally there are two guest cabins that feature a queen-size and a twin-bed arrangement.

40-meter Sloop "Extreme" in-build at Mengi-Yay
A new sloop is currently under construction at the Mengi-Yay shipyard in Turkey. She is to have an LOA of 40-meters, a beam of 8.95-meters molded (9.20 BOA) and displace around 285.75-tonnes. Her name currently is "Extreme" bearing both Naval Architecture and design by Ginton Naval Architects.
There are six rooms for guests accommodating twelve overall. Seven crew members are expected to run the vessel and for them there are three double cabins as well as a captain’s cabin. Additionally there is a spacious mess-room for the crew adjacent to a well equipped general galley. The interior has been designed by Guido de Groot.
Twin CAT C-18's are expected to run the new Ginton-designed sloop to 14-knots. 23,000 LT capacity fuel tanks ensure that a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 10-knots can be attained...
Jongert building 3400 sailing yacht
During the Fort Lauderdale boat show Jongert continued its sales success by announcing the order for a 3400M sailing yacht. This is an extended version of the recently introduced 3000M line designed by German Frers. The buyer currently owns another Jongert and was delighted with the design of the new Jongert line.
Both the hull and the superstructure of the Jongert 3400 are being made from high-grade Alustar. She will be supplied with a high-strength carbon mast and boom. The interior layout compromises a full beam owners’ stateroom with private access from the aft cockpit, two guest suites and a third convertible cabin that could equally well serve as a study or cinema room. Inace launches 36.57-meter expedition yacht
Think about a "Far Far Away" expedition and you have the name of the newest launch from Inace Yachts, (hull 576). She is also the flagship of the company. The finish colors on the yacht are gray on the hull and white on the superstructure making for a normal but eye-catching scheme.
The design is by Luiz de Basto with distinctive play with different sloping angles around the superstructure. Forward sloping bridge windows add a nice design touch while complementing some of the other angles. "Far Far Away" has been built in both steel and aluminum with her superstructure set far back allowing for a long foredeck.
The foredeck is enables Far Far Away to stow two similar-sized tenders served by a robust crane. The yacht isn't a speedster so a comfortable top speed of 13-knots has been estimated using her dual CAT marine engines. She is an expedition yacht and she is meant to be efficient...
Hakvoort 55-meter superyacht
Dutch yacht builder Hakvoort, known for their intimate luxury yachts and prowess in construction in aluminum and steel are slowly building larger vessels. Recently the Dutch family-owned yard Hakvoort announced an upgrade of its own facilities, which will enable it to deliver yachts of over 50-meters in LOA.
Hakvoort’s new slipway, which has a maximum lift of 1,000 tons, is now ready, enabling the yard to construct yachts of up to 58-meters in length and 11.50-meters in width. This follows its vertical expansion in 2009 when the roof of the yard’s main shed was raised to allow for the construction of four-deck yachts.
The new 55-meter yacht will be the largest yacht built at the facility if it is commissioned. If commissioned the luxury yacht will be able to be delivered early in 2014 according to ***** Yacht & Ship...
Second IAG 127' megayacht in build
The second hull in the IAG 127-foot megayacht series is under construction by the Chinese yacht builder. She will be a sister to the "Primadonna" which was IAG's first yacht, which made her U.S debut last year. The company also had another launch earlier this year, the 100-foot "Electra".
The next IAG 127-footer is presently outfitting at the yard in Zhuhai, China. She is a yacht being built in GRP classed to RINA. The 39.8-meter yacht weighs approximately 340-gross tonnes. She also expresses a beam just over 8-meters and a light draft of 2.10-meters.
She is expected to be carrying a pair of CAT C32 engines with 1,800 horsepower each. Top speed using this engine package is calculated at 20-knots. The new yacht is expected to launch this year (2012).

Azimut starts construction on 42-meter planing megayacht
Azimut Yachts announced the start of construction of their 42-meter triple-deck planing megayacht. The announcement for the new member of the Azimut Grande series came at the just concluded Miami Boat Show.
Not only is she a member of the Azimut Grande series, she is also the largest of the line. Some quick facts on the new model include an accommodation provision for twelve guests in five cabins as well crew size of ten.
Technically, she will have a top speed in the region of 22-knots with cruising at 17-knots. All to be made possible via her intended twin MTU 16V 4000 M93L engines. Sailing conservatively at 12-knots or less, the Azimut Grande 42-meter will have a range of 1,200 nautical miles or more.

Technical launch of the new Benetti Classic 105’
February 25rd saw the technical launch at Viareggio of the 25th unit of the new Benetti Tradition 105’. Following the customary preliminary steps, including the traditional breaking of the bottle on the hull, the yacht was lowered into the water, a ceremony witnessed by Owner, technical personnel, workers, and all Benetti staff who oversaw outfitting and construction over the past several months.
Tradition 105’, all the while maintaining the traditional charm, is completely updated with new interior layouts that provide high levels of functionality and comfort. Abeking & Rasmussen launches SWATH Patrol Boat "CĒSIS"
On Nov. 23rd 2011 the second SWATH A&R Patrol Boat for the Latvian Navy was launched at Abeking & Rasmussen Shipyard in Lemwerder. In the presence of the Latvian Ambassador to Germany and representatives of the town of Cēsis, the director of the museum for art and history, Mrs. Dace Tabūne, named the new Patrol Boat "CĒSIS".
The first of this 5 unit series, the "SKRUNDA", was already commissioned into the Latvian Navy on April 18th this year. The ships are built and delivered in cooperation with Riga Shipyard.
Cost effective patrol and surveillance and SAR missions in the territorial waters and the exclusive economical zone as well as participation in international assignments have to be seen as a major benefit of the new patrol boats.
By this ship the SWATH@A&R success story is continued. It is already the 15th vessel of the SWATH@A&R design...
Gulf Craft launches Majesty 135-foot megayacht
The first hull of the 135-foot Majesty model by Gulf Craft Inc has been launched. She automatically jumps to the top of the range offered by Gulf Craft and is now the flagship. She has already completed initial sea trials.

A 37-meter motor yacht designed by Incat Crowther is currently in the final stages of construction. In fact the "Phatsara" is almost ready to launch from her facilities. The idea behind the project was to create a yacht with large family ownership in mind. The hull and superstructure has been built in the latest technology from High Modulus. Phatsara is a twin hulled motor yacht, making her a catamaran and she can be easily converted for charter or luxury dive use.

Holland Jachtbouw launches 40-meter J-class yacht "Rainbow"
Right on cue the 40-meter J-class "Rainbow" launched from the facilities at Holland Jachtbouw on February 17, 2012. She is a racing yacht but will still have creature & luxury comforts. Rainbow will feature a 1930's styled interior with mahogany standing out as the main wood used. Six guests and seven crew will be hosted onboard.
Rainbow JH2 has been re-designed by Dykstra & Partners Naval Architects according to the original design of William Starling Burgess, but now constructed in aluminum with carbon mast and rigging and 3-DL racing sails. Rainbow JH2 will be built and fitted for racing against the existing and new J-class boats in accordance with the J-class Association rules...
Gulf Craft delivers latest Majesty 121 megayacht
The latest Gulf Craft Majesty 121-footer has been completed and delivered to her owners. She is the fifth hull in the series and is all white with vivid blue accent color scheme. The newly delivered luxury yacht is currently moored in the Emirates Palace Hotel Marina in Abu Dhabi.
The interiors have been richly decorated in solid white oak, American cherry and bamboo veneers, with Azul Bahia granite and Botticcino Royale marble countertops and interior wall cladding. The soft furnishings feature a generous amount of leather finishings, maximizing the comfort and elegance of the interior spaces.

27.5-meter fast Explorer new order at Vismara
The new Vismara 90-footer is an evolution and continuation of the Vismara 68' Navetta. However, the owner threw in some special requests. The brief was that the vessel should provide the safety and range of an explorer-type yacht, it should be a fast platform with great seakeeping characteristics.
On the interior the Vismara 27.5-meter yacht will be able to accommodate eight guests in four cabins along with four crew. Performance wise, she is expected to have a top speed of 35-knots as calculated. Cruising speed is estimated at 25-knots with a handy 1,000 nautical mile range. She will be using two 850 horse power CAT marine engines. She can cruise even slower and offer a higher range while consuming less fuel. Launching is expected to be in the Spring of 2014...
Rossi Navi 45-meter "Aslec 4" mega yacht nearing completion
Italian Yard Rossi Navi is nearing completion on one of their new yachts. It is the 45-meter "Aslec 4" which is expected to launch next month according to schedule. Aslec 4 bears design by Studio Spadolini and boasts expansive open deck spaces for her size.
This new Motor Yacht is a semi-displacement mega yacht characterized by wide external aft spaces and by a distinguishing vertical stem. With steel hull and marine grade aluminum superstructure, this Motor Yacht is equipped with two Caterpillar engines, type 3508 C DITA/SWAC each one rated 1.300 hp, that provide a top speed in excess of 16 knots and a cruising speed at ½ load of 15 knots.

Lazzara delivers 28-meter "Algorythm" megayacht
United States yacht builder Lazzara Yachts has delivered the latest member of the LSX92 series. She is called "Algorythm" and was handed over at the end of 2011. Eight guests can be accommodated in four staterooms while four crew members see after the operation of the yacht and the needs of guests.
Speaking of guests, the Algorythm is open for charter since being delivered. This latest unit is different from the other LSX92's because of her extended sundeck. The open sundeck is sigificantly larger with the extra length. Additionally, there is a larger hardtop to provide shade. Algorythm is powered by four Volvo IPS with a top cruising speed of 28-knots.
