AB Yachts deliver AB116 openyacht "Ecrider"
AB Yachts successfully delivered their latest yacht for 2013, another member of the AB116 line called "Ecrider". Ecrider is now the fourth hull in the AB116 series from AB Yachts. The design is unmistakably AB with powerful yet sleek lines engaging the length and breadth of this yacht.
Her large windows pour an excess of natural light into the saloon and create a sense of openness. Significant thought also went into the creation of the general arrangement, in order to create a unique environment at sea. What sets the AB116 apart from other megayachts in her class is her flybridge. Here one finds large sunpads, another al fresco dining area, as well as a secondary navigation station for easy maneuvering in port. Riva building 37-meter 'Mythos' flagship
The Riva company is currently building their flagship yacht, the 37-meter 'Mythos'. The Mythos is intended to be the evolution to the Riva 86' Domino and also represent the largest planing yacht that this Italian yard has ever built. Hull number 1 is currently under construction and is expected to be launched in the first half of 2014.
Aside from her size record for the yard, she will also be the first all-aluminium boat built by them. Hull number 1 will rise three decks giving her new owner different zones to enjoy and entertain their guests. The uppermost deck is opened featuring a sunpadded area towards the mast. mid deck there is a jacuzzi and forward of that area are triple bucket-seat region for the perfect vantage. Dockwise books the most valued superyacht ever transported
As the seasonal migration of superyachts begins in late August from the Mediterranean to the wintertime cruising grounds of the Caribbean and South Florida, Dockwise Yacht Transport, operating for 26 years in the yacht transport industry, is gearing up for a busy season.
Recent bookings include the most valued superyacht the experienced company has ever transported, the new 214-foot m/y Galactica Star, built by Heesen, which has booked a round trip from Genoa, Italy to Martinique this fall and from Port Everglades back to Genoa in spring 2014. While Dockwise has the capability to ship yachts from 30 feet to more than 200 feet, it regularly ships those in the 120-foot to 165-foot range, mainly to and from the Mediterranean.

Pendennis receives order for 31.3-meter Dubois-designed sloop
Pendennis receives an order for a 31.3-meter sailing sloop with a design by Dubois Naval Architects. The all-aluminium sloop doesn't have a confirmed delivery date as yet but is expected to be constructed in a staged process. On the interior there is a large master room for the owner below decks set towards the stern of the cockpit. Other cabins are for guests with two twin-berth guest cabins that are easily convertible to doubles, are situated forward.
Pendennis and Dubois have a long history of working together with this build representing the ninth successful collaboration. The technologically advanced Taramber launched in 1991 was the catalyst followed by the construction of "Beagle Star II", "Mamamouchi", "Nadia", "Beagle V", "Margaret Ann" and "Nostromo", not forgetting "Ilona" which was the first motor yacht to be built by Pendennis in 1999...
SanLorenzo launches SD92 motoryacht "Minu"
Italian builder SanLorenzo recently launched the latest yacht in the SD92 line called "Minu". In fact, Minu is now the 20th motoryacht in this particular line from SanLorenzo. She was built for a German client who has her arranged to take as many as eight guests in four cabins.
Minu is being powered by a pair of MTU V10 2000M marine engines. She is also fitted with a pair of Zero Speed Stabilizers. The interior of Minu was designed around what the owner desired. Prized and quality materials have been sought after to be utilized throughout the interior. Natural oak wood and Calacatta white marble on the floors add that luxury touch. The furnishings provide a showcase of Italian design, as products were sourced from Italian firms including Paola Lenti, Knol, Minotti, Driade and Maxalato...
Columbus 40-meter Sport Hybrid Yacht launches
The new Columbus 40-meter Sport Hybrid megayacht has been launched. As recently as last week, the Sport Hybrid was set into the water at the Palumbo Shipyard. She is an all-aluminium semi-displacement megayacht boasting exterior styling and lines by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec.
The interior of the Columbus 40-meter Sport Hybrid is a Hot Lab and owner collaboration. The interior is environmentally friendly from the standpoint of the woods being used onboard. The different woods are compliant to the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). Light Oak is utilized on the floor along with uses of Teak, Sycamore, grey Durmast American walnut and Eucalyptus Luxurious appointments such as Breccia Sarda and Adria Venato marbles have not been spared along with woolen carpets and leather treatments all combine to give a modern chic atmosphere...
Bloemsma Van Breemen launch 44-meter megayacht
Dutch builder Bloemsma Van Breemen launches the 44-meter megayacht they have been working on. Before launch she was available for sale at €21,500,000 and now that she has been launched she is still for sale through Edmiston. She has been constructed under hull ID BN141 at the Dutch yard and to a design by Pieter Beeldsnijder. Naval Architecture has been by Vripack.
Luxury is of main importance, the sundeck includes sunbathing areas, a jacuzzi, barbecue and a bar. The upper deck is dedicated as the owner's area with a luxurious stateroom, lounge and terrace. The main deck comprises of the captain's suite, lounge, dining room, galley and wheelhouse. The lower deck features four guest staterooms, four crew cabins and a good-size lazarette that houses the jet skis and other watersport toys. The cruising range of this megayacht will be 4,100 nautical miles. She has a top-end speed of 15.5-knots...

Vitters launches 46-meter sloop "Ganesha"
The latest sloop has been launched by Dutch builder Vitters. She is the 46-meter sloop built under hull number 3067 and now named "Ganesha". This aluminium performance cruiser carries a powerful rig, including a 62-meter TPT* (Thin Ply Technology) laminated carbon mast ensuring an optimized weight and strength ratio. Also her fully tank tested hull shape, lifting keel and sleek profile are signs of the performance focus of this custom yacht.
The fixed carbon bimini top with vertical sliding windows are remarkable features on deck. With the windows raised, the cockpit area ensures comfort in colder parts of the world. And when sailing warmer seas, the deckhouse with the main companionway opened will be beautifully connected to the cockpit, creating an unexpectedly spacious living area. Viking 92-foot sportfish yacht
Viking is currently working on its top-of-the-line sportfish yacht, a 92-foot beast for unveiling in 2014. The new Viking 92 convertible sportfish is being built to an in-house design and represents the largest yacht in Viking's history. She will be a fishing and leisure machine and must provide the best of both worlds. Palm Beach Towers is manufacturing the tuna tower for this 92-footer.
Accommodation will be provided for ten guests in six staterooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. The generous 23-foot overall beam ensures a roomy interior. The crew are also taken care of and have their own quarters. The Viking 92 is set to debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2014...

SanLorenzo sells another SL108 motoryacht
Another SanLorenzo SL108 motoryacht has been recently sold for this Italian yacht manufacturer. The good thing for the owner is that the vessel was already under construction so they will not have to wait as long for their new yacht to be completed. In fact, launching is expected to be in the Spring of 2014.
The new yacht is under construction at the SanLorenzo yard in Ameglia, Italy where it is being fashioned to the new owner's desires. The new vessel is actually for repeat clients. A brief look at the SL108 series shows a design by SanLorenzo, also the Naval Architecture is by the yard. The interior of the SL108 is by Della Role Design.

Moonen delivers 42-meter megayacht "Sofia"
Dutch yacht builder Moonen has successfully delivered their top-of-the-line 42-meter megayacht christened as "Sofia". She has been delivered to a repeat client of the yard and they are now enjoying use with their new yacht. Since delivery Sofia has been seen cruising the Mediterranean. After the Summer period she will then move over the the Caribbean Winter grounds.
One of the stand-out features onboard Sofia is the fact that she was custom-built to carry a three-person submarine. SouthernWind announces delivery of SW82' sloop "Feelin' Good"
South African yard Southern Wind Shipyard (SWS) is proud to announce the delivery of the first unit/hull of the new SW82 line. Christened as "Feelin' Good" the new SW82 was launched in July 2013. Since then Feelin’ Good was trialed and tested and passed her requirements. Now she is getting ready to leave South African waters for her 7,500 nautical mile maiden voyage to Mediterranean.
Later on next month Feelin' Good will be officially presented as a world première during the forthcoming Monaco Yacht Show, which will be held in Monaco from the 25th to the 28th September 2013...

Erdevicki-Nobiskrug 86-meter superyacht design
Canadian designer Ivan Erdevicki and Nobiskrug are to show off a new concept that will be officially unveiled at upcoming Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). The new design is a 86-meter superyacht with many special features, one of them surrounds the idea of Adamantine glass within the structure. The windows around the yacht are angled glass together in such a way that it is diamond-like.
The 283-foot superyacht spreads over five decks and overall looking strong, bold and masculine while still being refined. 'The diamond shaped windows is my idea, which I observed many years ago from the deck of a boat during one sunrise departure from a port,’ says Erdevicki, ‘looking at the buildings on a shoreline, windows reflecting and sparkling in early sunrise...
CRN delivers 43-meter megayacht "Lady Genyr"
CRN has delivered the eighth hull of successful 43-meter composite series. She is one of three yachts to be completed by CRN this year and has been christened as "Lady Genyr". Just as a reminder, this series goes back to 2007 with the launching of "Emotion" (ex. "Emerald Star"). The others that followed included "Hana", "Rubeccan", "Sofico", "Eviva", "Kate" and "Lady Trudy" (now "Juna Too".
