News: First N51 Delivered; On Maiden Voyage

Nordhavn has announced the delivery of the first N51 (N5101). The vessel is named "AwaNui" is in the midst of doing its maiden voyage which will involve a three-day run to Rhodes Island, Greece. The N51 is a new model from Nordhavn and is being built along with the very popular N41. Hull 2 of the N51 should be ready in a few months and all the way down to hull 5, the hull was recently still in the mold.

As for AwaNui she is completed. The interiors for the cabinetry and walls are finished in Walnut while the floors are Teak and leather is seen on the ceilings in the main salon area. The aft door that takes you in and out of the salon and to the aft cockpit, that can move and open as one unit or have the bottom remain closed and top opened, dutch-door style. ​

The galley is mostly on the portside of the boat with finishes in Walnut and Corian for the counters. On the other side of the galley is access forward which will either be a few steps up into the pilothouse or a few steps down into the accommodation for guests. A double cabin is down there with the capability to split the bed into two singles depending on use. Back up to the wheelhouse and on the starboard side there is a set of steps that take you down to the master cabin. The N51 draws its inspiration from the N41 but attracts customers who like the N41 nut with more room and a flybridge.
